Overview

Cedar Ridge Equine offers summer horsemanship day camps for kids of all ages. Camps/Clinics/Lessons are available for all riders from beginner to advanced. The staff believes that in all the CRE Summer Horsemanship Camps, it is important to teach life skill development and personal growth as an intricate component of the horsemanship program. After conducting several educational studies on life skill development through the use of horses, they found it most effective to teach responsibility, relationships, communication, leadership and teamwork through horse safety and care; haltering, tying and leading a horse; horse behavior observation and horse anatomy; and on-the-ground horsemanship. Campers will spend time in the saddle, working on the ground with the horses and participating in daily take-home equine crafts and journaling activities. The staff strives to provide a safe, fun and educational environment for all campers and horses. If you do not own a horse, not a problem, Cedar Ridge provides safe, sane, reliable camp horses.
