February is the month for love, and I keep thinking about childhood crushes. My hubby tells the silliest stories about crushes he had as a kid. About Laura Holcomb and how all the boys in the second grade were in love with her because of her perfect bangs, or how in junior high he and three of his good friends threw Sally Robison into the irrigation ditch at lunchtime, to get her attention. Ah, that was true love! (Don't worry if this sounds like something your kid would do, those four reprobates grew into fine upstanding citizens.)
