To my dearly beloved,
Every day I thank god for bringing us together. (Well, god, and World Market.) I honestly cannot imagine life without you. Just knowing that you’ll be there for me when I wake up every morning -- alone in my bed, all alone -- makes life truly worth living. You, and you alone, fill me with that warm sensation, that earthy aroma and sweet deliciousness as I caress your ivory curves, smiling, knowing that only I will ever have you. Oh, I love you so much . . .
As Madeline Kahn so brilliantly sang in Young Frankenstein: “Oh, sweet mystery of life at last I've found you! At last, I know the secret of it all!”
Illy ground medium roast espresso: Bozemama's sweet mystery of life!
It’s true; it wasn’t easy. It took far too long for me to find you and make you mine. In my foolish youth, I dabbled in all manner of preposterous impostors like brewed hazelnut and French press vanilla . . . oh, the shame! What a slut I was. But, with the wisdom and clarity that only hindsight can provide, I see now that I had to learn the hard way. I needed to suffer and flounder before experiencing pure passion and undying loyalty. It took nearly three decades, but – OH! – so worth the wait.
Bialetti Moka Express -- best invention ever
I remember when first we met. Do you? It was in Seattle, of course, at a mutual friend’s house. She introduced us and I can only now admit how breathlessly smitten I was. (I blush now at the memory of it all!) I feigned disinterest and asked her a few questions about you, not wanting to raise her suspicions. It wasn’t until I returned to Bozeman and the children went back to school that I could seek you out and make you mine at last -- all mine!
Even then, we had some early growing pains, a few kinks to work out. But now, we have found our perfect rhythm and we are in sync every morning of every day. Oh, how I pity those who wander aimlessly, looking for the clarity that only true love can bring. I can only hope for their sake that they will one day find the happiness and fulfillment that you have brought me.
Love and all its parts
It is because I love you that I must admit to you my indiscretions – No, please don’t cry! They are but crude, pale imitations of our deep and complex love bought in quick and dirty desperation and to satisfy impulsive afternoon urges. They don’t love me like you do. I’m sorry; I promise never again (at least until next time).
You must know that you are my one true love, my forever and always, and now that I have found you, I am never letting you go. OK -- If asked nicely, I might share, but only with your permission, darling.
Yours with all the passion that only a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love can muster,
